Shenstone lies between Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield and was the only village in Staffordshire that was included in Britain’s 48 poshest villages by The Telegraph in 2024.

Despite the old money villages such as Claverley and Yoxall where the landed gentry have lived for generations, it was Shenstone that made the list.

It is one of a handful of villages in the area that have a direct rail link into Birmingham city centre - calling through Sutton Coldfield and going as far as Rugeley - and it is only a 10-minute drive from Lichfield Trent Valley station which has a direct train to London Euston in 90 minutes. A quick changeover at Tamworth can take you to most areas of the north and south of England and Wales, too.

So, the quiet and rural Shenstone suits individuals who want to enjoy village life but still be able to travel to the main cities. Those looking to relocate to Shenstone can expect an average house price of £657,637.
