From this Friday(21) until August the B4484 Bilston Street will be shut between the New Road mini island to its junction with Rosehill for the work to be carried out by Transport for West Midlands contractors. However, traffic will be able to travel in a northerly direction.

The town's new railway station off Bilston Street is due to be built by 2026 despite contractors being forced to amend the timetable over an ‘unauthorised’ building being constructed next to the site last year.
Two trains per hour will call at the new station and at Darlaston when the long-awaited schemes are completed.
