More than 600 staff are set to move into Cable Plaza, which is currently the home of Dudley Performing Arts and Black Country Radio and had been the home of Resonance Education.

The staff will be mainly children's services employees, with some Dudley Performing Arts staff remaining at the building, and will be hybrid workers who will spend some time in the office and some from home.

Councillor David Stanley, cabinet member for children and young people, said bringing the different services together would help to expand the knowledge base.

He said: “Cable Plaza is currently home to Dudley Performing Arts, and over the coming weeks and months is set to welcome staff from our education, social care and commissioning teams within children’s services, bringing the total number of council staff hybrid working from these offices to well over 600.

"The building will only be publicly accessible for DPA activities.

"Public facing children’s services activities will continue within the community.

“Bringing together the majority of our children’s services staff in one building means colleagues can share knowledge and collaborate more easily and deliver the best possible services to our children and young people and their families.”
