All lanes now reopen on motorway near Halesowen after HGV fire

All lanes have now re-opened on the M5 southbound between junction three for Quinton and four for Bromsgrove after an early morning HGV fire.

The accident caused queuing traffic for four miles and delays of up to an hour into the rush hour and through the morning,

National Highways say currently delays are in excess of 30 minutes and congestion is backing up for four miles but both slip roads southbound have re-opened.

They say police continue to work at the scene and specialist recovery is being arranged.
