'Like having the holy grail' - Walsall Dr Who actor delighted to win charity auction to own classic costume
An actor from Walsall has spoken of the thrill of being able to own one of his favourite costumes from a classic TV series after winning a charity auction.

Richard Price, from Walsall, had played a Sea Devil in the Easter special of Dr Who during Jodie Whittaker's last season as the Doctor, following on from playing a range of other monsters and villainous characters on the BBC show.
He said that he had been sitting at home last November when he heard that an auction of some of the costumes from the set was taking place for Children in Need, including his Sea Devil costume, and he said he decided he wanted to try and get hold of it.

He said: "It was back in November that Top Store and BBC Children in Need were doing an auction of some of the desirable things from the set, which is kind of unheard and hasn't happened in the years I've been working on the show.
