A number of fire crews from Hereford and & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service will be taking part in planned training at Coniston House in Hurcott Road in Kidderminster today between 11am and 1pm.
The training exercise will be testing the firefighters' high-rise procedures, using cosmetic smoke to simulate an upstairs fire.
Local residents have been advised that they may see the smoke coming from the upper floors of the building, and have been assured by Hereford and Worcester Fire Control that it is all under control.
The fire control team said on social media: "Don’t be alarmed if you see a number of fire crews at Coniston House Kidderminster today around 11:00-13:00. This is part of a planned training exercise testing our High-rise procedures. Crews will be using cosmetic smoke which may be seen coming from the upper floors."
