This week, West Midlands Police are re-appealing to find Patricia Lashley, who has been missing from Dudley for more than 25 years.

The mother of seven, who was known to friends as Pat or Jade, was last seen at her flat in Hall Street, Dudley, in September 1998, but despite an extensive investigation by West Midlands Police, her whwereabouts remain unknown.

Investigators are now issuing a fresh appeal in the hope that anyone with information can come forward over the weekend, on what would have been her 60th birthday.

Police say that Patricia went missing in September 1998 and has links to Newcastle, London, Wales and Scotland.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "The last description of Patricia is white, 5ft 4ins tall, slim, with mousy brown hair and speaks with a Geordie accent.

"Patricia had links to Newcastle, London, Wales and Scotland, so we are not ruling out her leaving the Midlands for these areas."

Patricia moved to Dudley three years before her disappearance and was known to frequent the No Limits club around the time along with the pubs in the area.

The spokesperson added: "Since Patricia's disappearance, we have examined a mass of public records and information to try and find her.

"It is believed she may have also used the surname Bradford along with the first names Jade, Vanessa or Tricia."

Images released by the police date from around the time of Patricia's disappearance, with officers saying she was 'well known locally'.

Anyone with information relating to Patricia's disappearance, no matter how small the detail, is asked to get in touch with West Midlands Police via their 101 number, or alternatively via the Live Chat service on their website, quoting PID number 31561.
