Author inspires Rugeley pupils as Hob Hill Primary School unveils new library

Hob Hill Primary School has officially opened its new library, creating an inviting space designed to inspire a lifelong love of reading among pupils.
The school has has organised books by genre, making it easier for children to explore and choose stories that capture their interest.
This development comes as part of Hob Hill’s commitment to promoting literacy to give every pupil has access to a wide range of engaging books.
The grand opening coincided with World Book Day celebrations and a visit from the Book Bus, which resulted in 85 new books being added to the collection.

Award-winning author Emily Lloyd-Gale officially cut the ribbon and open the library, inspiring young readers with her stories. She described the new library as "fantastic".
The library’s dedicated volunteers Sue Sinclair, Barbara Dunton as well as Miss Lisa Gallear and Mrs Joe Broccolo, the school’s English leader. Sue and Barbara give their time each week to support children’s reading. Sue, along with the school’s reading ambassadors, played a vital role in making the library a reality, ensuring it will be a welcoming space for generations to come.
Mrs Broccolo, English leader at Hob Hill, said: "We are incredibly proud of this fantastic new reading space and the opportunities it will provide for our children.
"It’s been wonderful to see the enthusiasm from pupils, and I can't wait to see them enjoy discovering new books and developing a love of reading that will stay with them for life."
She added: "Hob Hill Primary is committed to fostering a strong reading culture, and this new library is a major step forward. Pupils and staff alike are excited for the adventures that await between the pages."
