Urgent appeal after man dies near to Tipton railway station

Detectives are urgently appealing for information to identify a man who died following an incident on the railway line near Tipton.

Police officers were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks near Tipton just after 12.35pm yesterday (4 March).

Officers and paramedics arrived but sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is currently being treated as unexplained, but despite extensive enquiries officers have been unable to identify the man and trace his family to inform them of the news.

The man was wearing an orange high visibility jacket with a hood, and trousers with a Pulsar brand logo on them.

He was wearing size five trainers with a basketball logo on them and a surgical face mask.  

He is described as black, with short dark hair and is believed to have been in his 30s.
