The idea of being a unique pub or somewhere with an odd description or selling point is one which can be hard for a pub to live up to.
Whether it's due to being the highest pub in the country, the most remote, the oldest or the newest, having a unique place or setting can make or break a pub.
One pub which has taken on a title previously owned by a much-loved and much-missed pub is the Tilted Barrel in Tipton, which has taken the moniker of "Wonkiest pub" following the sad demise of the Crooked House in Himley in a suspected arson attack in August 2023.

He said: "I liked it when I first saw it and the fact that it was the only tilted pub remaining in the area was a major selling point.
