Fire alarm fault blamed for temporary closure of school near Dudley

A primary school in Sedgley has been closed due to a fault with the fire alarm system.

The fault has resulted in Queen Victoria Primary School, in  Bilston Street in Sedgley being closed until next Tuesday morning.

The school sent a letter to families to inform them of the closures on Friday(28) and Monday(3) which was posted on social media.

It stated: "I regret to inform you that Queen Queen Victoria Primary School will be closed - due to a fault  with the fire alarm system. Our fire maintenance company have offered  assurances that they will have completed the work by then to enable us to reopen on Tuesday."
