Road closed 'for number of hours' following Stourbridge crash

Dozens of people have taken to social media to show concern following a reported crash in Stourbridge.

Residents have said that a road was blocked and a '4x4' was on its side following a reported crash in Glasshouse Hill, Oldswinford, Stourbridge

The incident was said to have taken place at around 5pm, and led to the road being closed for a number of hours. 

Many from the area took to Facebook to warn others of the incident, with one person saying it was 'a massive incident'.

On the Stourbridge Matters Facebook group, user Bridgit Bergstrom said: "Don't drive up towards Tesco Express at Oldswinford. Massive accident."

A number of others local to the area also reported heavy traffic following the 'incident' with one saying that the incident isn't the area's first.

Faye Thatcher, a Facebook user, said: "I hope everyone is okay. Horrible lights there. Always accidents."

Alison Townsend added: "Hope everyone is okay. I have the turn from Rufford Road before the roundabout, plus the filtering at the lights. There are so many accidents there." 

It is unknown yet as to the severity of the 'incident', however, West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service have been approached for more information.
