There is already a full injunction banning the practice also known as 'car cruising' covering Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton for at least three years.
However, this decision is subject to an annual review which is due to be held in Birmingham.

The ruling prevents the public from participating, as a driver, rider or passenger, in a gathering of two or more people where some of those present engage in car racing, vehicular stunts or other dangerous or obstructive driving.
Crowds often gather to watch the races, some of which start in West Bromwich deafening local residents, and there have been tragic instances of pedestrians being killed.
There is also a ban in place in Cannock.
