Man, in his 30s, found with 'serious injuries' in Birmingham but cause remains unknown

West Midlands Police have launched an appeal for information after a man was found with 'serious injuries in Birmingham early this morning (February 23)

The man, who is believed to be in his 30s, was found on Granville Street, in the city centre at around 4am. 

An ambulance and police attended the scene. 

It is said the man have suffered a number of injuries and is in a serious condition in hospital. However, the cause of his injuries remain unknown. 

Police have now launched an appeal for information in relation to the incident. 

A spokesperson said: "We are carrying out a number of enquiries including CCTV checks, but at this stage we do not know how he was injured.

"Officers remain in the area carrying out enquiries this afternoon. Anyone with information should get in touch with us via 101 or Live Chat, quoting log 622."

West Midlands Ambulance have been contacted for a comment.
