Fresh images of the building - which caught fire on Wellington Road last night (February 22) - were taken today, Sunday (February 23), showing just how much damage was caused when sparks collided and smoke filled the air.

In the images, blackened walls and broken windows are visible, while rubbish is garnished across the floor and boarded up windows remain on the building which even after the fire remains standing.

Four fire crews attended the scene of blaze and, at the time of the incident, issued a warning to those living in the area.

Residents in the surrounding areas were advised to keep doors and windows closed as a precaution. Others have been asked to avoid the area.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, a spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service wrote: " We have four crews in attendance at a fire on Wellington Road, Dudley.

"As a precaution, if you live or work nearby, please keep doors and windows closed. Avoid the area, where possible."

The incident reportedly occurred in a derelict building, and, although the incident is now marked as closed, it remains to be seen what it was that caused the fire to start in the first place.
