Bus stands in Walsall station temporarily relocate due to road works - several diversions across region

Passengers are being urged to give themselves extra time to catch services due to bus stop changes in Walsall's main station as roadworks result in diversions across the region.

The changes on Sunday(23) are being made due to roadworks in the main station in St Paul's Street.

Affected services include bus numbers 31, 32 and 70 to Bloxwich, 41 to Willenhall, X51 to Cannock, 529, 69 and 9 to Wolverhampton,  36 and 8 to Lichfield, 997 and 10 to Brownhills, 6 to Sutton Coldfield, 7 to Walsall Wood, 29 to Blakenall. 

National Express's West Midlands Platinum Buses

Operator National Express West Midlands posted on social media platform X: "@nxwestmidlands Stop Changes Sunday February 23 due to essential carriageway works will be taking place within Walsall Bus Station."

In addition there is a bus diversion on the 937 to Brownhills along Leighswood Avenue, Walsall Wood Road due to Broad Meadow near Aldridge being closed  due to water main repairs until Wednesday. Meanwhile the number 7 to Castlecroft  is being diverted along Leighswood Avenue, Walsall Wood Road and Lazy Hill Road  due to the same works.

The number 29 to and from Bloxwich is being diverted due to the closure of Ross Road at the junction with Harden Road in Coalpool until 5.30pm on Sunday(23)due to road works. Buses will travel long Coalpool Lane to Harden Road to normal line of route and vice versa.

In Wednesbury the number 47 is being diverted due to Church Lane being closed to all westbound traffic due to gas mains renewal works until Tuesday.

In Oldbury the number 13A to Blackheath diverted to Queensway, Wolverhampton Road, Pound Road, Grafton Road, Lansdowne Road, Hurst Green Road  and Tame Road due to Tame Road being closed at its junction with Malvern Road for resurfacing on Monday(24).
