Rolfe Street, Smethwick, will close to traffic until February 26 to allow essential roadworks by South Staffs Water.
The works will see the road closed to all traffic for five days, with road groups, West Midlands Roads, warning to expect delays and plan alternative routes of travel.
Roads Watchdog group, West Midlands Roads, said on X: "Rolfe Street-Smethwick, South Staff Water is carrying out essential roadworks in the area. Road closure. Works are expected to continue until 26 Feb.
"Plan Ahead: Allow extra time for your journey and consider alternative routes where possible."
