Joseph Griffiths-Brown admitted one charge of failing to give consent for a sample to be analysed when he appeared at Telford Magistrates Court.
The 26-year-old, from Draycott, Claverley, had crashed his car late on the evening of August 24 at Tuckhill, Six Ashes, near Bridgnorth.
Police had been alerted to the incident by the fire service, who had attended with the ambulance service.
The court heard that the car had hit a tree and had burst into flames.
Griffiths-Brown was not present at the scene when officers arrived, and had been taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious injuries.
