Pedestrian in his 50s dies after being hit by car in Wolverhampton
A pedestrian has died on a Wolverhampton road following a collision with a vehicle.

A man in his 50s died at the scene on Birmingham Road in Wolverhampton after being run over around 1.15pm on Sunday (February 16).
Wolverhampton Police posted on social media yesterday evening: "A pedestrian has sadly died following a collision in Wolverhampton.
"We were called to Birmingham Road, Wolverhampton, at around 1.15pm today, after a car collided with a pedestrian. A man in his 50s was treated at the scene but despite the best efforts of the ambulance service he sadly died."

The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and was spoken to by the police.
Wolverhampton Police added: "The driver was spoken to by officers at the scene and is helping with our enquiries as we continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the collision."
Police are appealing for any dashcam footage of the incident or leading up to the crash.
The police added: "As we continue our investigation we are appealing to any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam, or CCTV footage.

West Midlands Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, a MERIT trauma doctor and a critical care paramedic to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival, crews found a man in a critical condition, who was receiving CPR from a bystander.
“Ambulance staff immediately took over and administered advanced life support, however despite best efforts, the man could not be saved and was sadly confirmed dead at the scene.”
