The seven latest food hygiene ratings for Black Country food venues - with five scoring top marks

Food hygiene inspectors have unveiled their latest ratings in the Black Country boroughs of Wolverhampton, Sandwell and Dudley

Seven food venues across the Black Country have been awarded new food hygiene ratings in the latest results from Food Standards Agency inspectors.

The inspectors have given the ratings to establishments in Wolverhampton, Sandwell and Dudley - with five scoring the top ratings.

The highest food hygiene rating in the UK is five out of five which means standards are very good. The lowest rating is zero - which means that urgent improvement is necessary.

Here are the latest food hygiene ratings awarded to Black Country bars, restaurants, cafes and more:

Wolverhampton

Rated 5: Gluttons For Nourishment, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 5 - 8 The Arcade, High Street, Tettenhall, Wolverhampton was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 29.

Rated 5: And Pizza Tower, a takeaway at 6 Marsh Lane Parade, Wolverhampton, West Midlands was also given a score of five on February 4.

Sandwell

The following rating has been given to one restaurant, cafe or canteen:

Rated 5: Da Brunch at 5 Walsall Street, West Bromwich; rated on January 18

And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:

Rated 5: The Goldmine at Three Horseshoes 97 Ocker Hill Road, Tipton; rated on January 14

Plus two ratings for takeaways:

Rated 5: Sk fryday chippy & off licence ltd at 37 Bloomfield Road, Tipton; rated on January 14

Rated 1: Grill N Sauce at 29 Cape Hill, Smethwick; rated on January 2

Dudley

Rated 2: Breakfast Diner, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 45 Stour Vale Road, Lye, Stourbridge was given the score after assessment on December 11, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Dudley's 333 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 219 (66%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
