Motorist dies after crash with van near Stafford - police appeal for dashcam footage of incident
A motorist in his 90s has died after a two-vehicle crash near Stafford that saw the air ambulance scrambled to the scene.

Staffordshire Police launched an investigation following the collision between a white Nissan car and a white Peugeot van on the A51 in Hixon on Monday (February 3).
The male car driver, who was in his 90s, was taken to hospital but died later that day.
In a statement the force said: "We were called at 3.40pm on Monday to the A51 in Hixon following reports of a collision. Officers attended and a white Nissan Qashqai was found involved in a collision with a white Peugeot van.
"Colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene to help remove the car driver from their vehicle. The driver of the Nissan, a man in his 90s, was taken to hospital by ambulance.
"He sadly died in hospital later that evening. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers at this time."
West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 3.45pm on Monday February 3 to a road traffic collision involving a car and a small van on the A51 nearby to Church Lane junction in Ingestre, Stafford. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended the scene.
"Upon arrival we found two men who were the drivers of the vehicles. The driver of the car had sustained serious injuries. He received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene before being conveyed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for further treatment. The driver of the van was assessed and had sustained injuries not believed to be serious. He received treatment at the scene before being conveyed to Stafford's County Hospital.”
Staffordshire Highways officers were also called to the area due to fuel leaking on the carriageway, which links Stafford to Stone.
