Dudley shop front destroyed in ram raid prompting police appeal

West Midlands Police are asking for information following a ram raid that left a shop front destroyed

Emergency services rushed to the scenes of The Straits, Lower Gornal, just before 2.20am on January 31, to reports of a vehicle entering a shop front on the street. 

In CCTV images, a group can be seen entering the shop, however, it is understood that they left empty-handed. 

Investigators are now asking for anyone with information to contact them directly. 

A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "We're investigating following a ram raid at a store on The Straits, Lower Gornal, at just before 2.20am today (31 January).

"A group entered the shop but it's understood they fled empty-handed. We're reviewing CCTV and carrying out other enquiries to identify who was involved."
