If approved, the new facility at what is one of the oldest racecourses in the country will provide changing facilities for jockeys and a bar/restaurant for the owners.
To make way for the new building, the owners are asking for permission to partially demolish and extend two of the existing structures on the site at Bromfield, northwest of Ludlow.
The buildings in question are the weighing room and the first aid room, which sit next to the marquee site and mobile catering, directly opposite the members stand.
A tower, currently containing accommodation for medical personnel, would be demolished as would temporary portacabin structures that currently house the changing rooms, tearoom and kitchen.
