A teenager has been arrested as part of a police investigation into 'car cannibalism' attacks.

The 18-year-old man was arrested at an address in Alum Rock, Birmingham, on suspicion of conspiracy to steal from motor vehicles, and theft of two vehicles.
He remained in police custody on Tuesday (January 28) afternoon, a West Midlands Police spokesperson said.
The arrest was made as part of an investigation by the force into what it has called 'car cannibalism' attacks in Birmingham.
Front bumpers, headlights, bonnets and registration plates were stolen from cars parked on the streets during the incidents.
The offences happened between June and October last year in areas including Sutton Coldfield, Aston, Hodge Hill, Bordesley Green and Harborne.
