Police teams in Walsall kept busy through patrols and operations across borough

Local Policing Area teams across Walsall have been kept busy with patrols and operations over the last week.

In Aldridge, neighbourhood officers seized a suspected stolen car while out on patrol following a report from a member of the public, while the team also paid a visit to the Thomas Project Community Centre in Walsall Wood Road to speak to residents about issues in their area.

Meanwhile, the Blakenall team carried out patrols in and around the Blakenall Heath area, using public transport and police vehicles to visit crime hotspots and the Bloxwich Neighbourhood Team had officers at Little Bloxwich school for an important knife crime awareness session.

The session, aimed at Year 5 and 6 pupils, was designed to educate around the danger of knife crime and how to make safer choices.

The Bloxwich team also visited St Thomas' Church in Mossley for the warm space event, chatting with the community and sharing crime prevention advice and members of the Bloxwich team was out and about in King George's Park, carrying out high-visibility patrols and engaging with the public.

In Darlaston, officers visited shops in the town centre to engage with shop owners and customers around any issues and concerns they have around shop theft and anti-social behaviour.

The Darlaston team carried out a knife sweep in George Rose Park, while the Brownhills team were out for night-time economy patrols in the High Street in response to concerns around anti-social behaviour.
