West Midlands Police welcomes new recruits with passing out parade at training centre

West Midlands Police have welcomed their newest recruits following a passing out parade at their Tally Ho! training centre in Birmingham.

Chief Constable Craig Guildford celebrated those who have successfully completed their training through the force's Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP) or The Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) programmes.

Proud friends and family joined the new recruits at the celebrations on Friday (January 24) before they are posted onto placements across the local police force.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "There are lots of ways to join us a police officer.

"New recruits join us on a starting salary of £29,907 per annum, regardless of which route you join, and this will increase with yearly increments meaning you can earn over £48,231 within seven years - or more if you are successfully promoted."
