West Midlands Police has been granted more time by magistrates to question a murder suspect after a man was found dead in Dudley.
The victim, aged in his 40s, was discovered at an address on Swancote Road on Saturday (January 11) after paramedics called police to the scene at just before 2.30am.
A 36 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder in Wednesbury a few hours later.
Last night police said: “We have been granted a 36-hour magistrates court extension and now have until the early hours of Tuesday morning to question him.
“A scene remains in place while we carry out enquiries to establish exactly what happened.
“We're carrying out door-to-door enquiries but we're keen to speak to anybody who may have information to assist our investigation.
“We're interested in anyone who may have dashcam or doorbell footage. You can contact us via Live Chat on our website, or by calling 101, and quote log 326 of 11/1/25.”
