A man accused of attempting to abduct a three-year-old girl in a Wolverhampton street has appeared in court.

Richard Stacey, aged 37, of Tettenhall Road, in Wolverhampton appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court on Monday court charged with offences of attempted child abduction, assault and affray on January 9.
Stacey spoke only to confirm his name and age. No plea was given at the hearing.
District Judge Michael Wheeler said: "The appropriate venue is the crown court."
The incident relates to allegations that a three-year-old girl was lifted from a trike and two women were assaulted after leaving a park.
An application for bail was refused and Stacey was remanded in custody.
The case was transferred to Wolverhampton Crown Court or a preliminary hearing on February 10.
