Police appeal for help to find West Midlands woman who went missing in 1976

West Midlands Police has again appealed for help in finding a woman who went missing in September 1976.

Birmingham University student, Sarjit Kaur Mann, from Birmingham, was just 20 when she was reported missing in 1976. 

West Midlands Police investigators have again reappealed for help in finding the missing woman as part of their investigations into some of the areas most longstanding missing person reports.

Officers said that they understand that Sarjit travelled to France at some stage, hoping that someone, somewhere, may have information to help them find her whereabouts. 

When Sarjit went missing, she was described as being of slim build, around 5ft 1ins tall, with long black hair and was possibly wearing glasses which were silver and hexagonal. 

Sarjit is also known to wear a stainless-steel multi-coloured pendant, silver bangle and wore size 10-12 shoes. 

She would be aged 68 now.
