Teenagers bailed as enquiries continue into discovery of zombie knife in stolen car

Four teenagers who were arrested following the discovery of a zombie knife in a car have been bailed as enquiries continue.

The four boys, aged between 15 and 17, were arrested on Lime Avenue in Walsall on Sunday afternoon after being seen fleeing from a stolen car.

A search of the car uncovered the knife and saw the four boys detained on suspicion of the theft of a motor vehicle and possessing an offensive weapon.

A statement by West Midlands Police at the time said: "We’ve arrested four teenagers and seized a zombie knife from a stolen car in Walsall.

"We were called to Lime Avenue in Walsall shortly before 5pm yesterday (Sun). 

"Four teenage boys fled from a stolen car but we quickly arrested them.

"The boys, aged 17, 16 and two aged 15 were detained on suspicion of the theft of a motor vehicle and possessing an offensive weapon. 

"They remain in custody as we continue our enquiries."

West Midlands Police have now confirmed that the boys have been bailed while enquiries continue.
