CrimeStoppers reveals West Midlands' most wanted criminals as new year approaches

Men accused of rape, major drug dealing operations and attempted murder all make the CrimeStoppers list of wanted people in the West Midlands this month.

Sharaz Ali, 43, was convicted of attempting to murder his wife after stabbing her on September 10, 2021. During a trial in August 2022 he failed to appear and a bench warrant was issued by Birmingham Crown Court.

Ali, who had been living in Stechford, Birmingham was tried and convicted in his absence.

A CrimeStoppers spokesman said: "We've been working to trace his whereabouts and understand he had been known to stay in Croydon, London, but we believe someone in Birmingham may know where he is.

"We've been working with other forces and investigating Ali's previous movements to try and establish where he is now. If you've seen him, or know where he is, please do not approach him, but call 999 immediately, quoting investigation number 20/1410584/21."

Mohammed Ahmadi refused to appear at court after being charged with serious sexual offences including rape.

A CrimeStoppers spokesman said: "Mohammed Ahmadi has absconded after being charged in August 2018 with serious sexual offences that occurred in February 2018. He failed to attend court and is now wanted on warrant.

"If you have any information in relation to his whereabouts please contact CrimeStoppers using their anonymous online reporting form or by ringing 0800 555111."

Ahmadi is said to have close links with Kidderminster and the surrounding areas.

Nicolai Cretu from Wolverhampton is wanted in connection with multiple offences and currently has a warrant out for him for failing to appear at court. 

A CrimeStoppers spokesman said: "We are appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of Nicolai Cretu who is wanted on warrant for failing to appear at court.

"He is wanted for driving offences. Where is he? Has he been seen anywhere? Do you know where he lives? Do you know where he is working? Do you know if he is driving a vehicle?"

Yaqub Younis needs to be recalled to prison after going on the run. 

A CrimeStopper spokesman said: "The 47-year-old from Birmingham is wanted on recall to prison. If you can help, please don't approach him but call 999 quoting crime reference 20BE/174874G/14.

Leon Dore, also known as AJ and Big Dan, is wanted in connection with drug trafficking and has links to Birmingham and the Black Country.

A CrimeStoppers spokesman said: "Extensive enquires have been made to trace Leon Dore, 36, as officers would like to speak to him with regards to a drugs seizure. He is known to the Chapletown area of Leeds and has links to Bradford, Huddersfield and Birmingham and surrounding areas.

"Anyone with information about this male is urged to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
