Dressed to Kill will be bringing the looks and sounds of KISS to the Giffard Arms in Wolverhampton on February 8 as part of the band's 35th anniversary tour.

The band, which calls itself "the longest running tribute to KISS", has played in the Black Country in the past - at JB's in Dudley, the Robin in Bilston and the Slade Rooms and KK's Steel Mill in Wolverhampton.

Founding member Ash Brookes, who plays rhythm guitar in the Paul Stanley role, said he wanted to come back to the region to play a show and was looking for somewhere new.

He said: "We were looking for a venue in the West Midlands and there wasn't anything in Dudley as JB's has now long gone and we had played the Robin quite a few times, but it was just very busy and we couldn't secure a date.

"We played at KK's Steel Mill in the summer as part of a four-band event and we just thought it would be nice to play Wolverhampton, so we looked at different venues.

"It was a guy called Bres who used to work at the Robin and now works at the Giffard who I spoke to about dates and we worked it out as the right venue to play at."

Mr Brookes said the band had something of a love affair with the Black Country, having played there a number of times over their 35 years, and said he felt there were always good vibes when they played.

He said that with KISS having retired from the industry after 50 years, the show by Dressed to Kill would be like a trip through the history of the band.

He said: "It's basically a look at KISS and their 50 years of history, so the set we play is from their beginning to their end and we play all the hits and all the classics that you would get from a KISS show.

"This is the only show we're playing in the West Midlands on this tour and I think the guys in this band are as good as it gets, with everyone looking the part and sounding the part."
