Meet the West Midlands babies born on Christmas Day bringing joy to parents and families

Baby Grace ‘s arrival at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton on December 25 has seen her proud parent's Christmases all come at once.

 Mum Faidat Hassan gave birth in the midwifery-led unit at 2.15am on Wednesday and she and is the first baby for her and partner James Ojo.

 Faidat explained  they had been trying to start a family for a long time.

The 29-year-old teacher said: “She is our gift from God as we had waited so long for a baby.

 “We found out we were having a girl and I felt twice as blessed as I really wanted to have a daughter. 

"I am around children all the time in my teaching job so I know how energetic they can be and I’m ready for this. We are just so happy she is here.”
