The Bridgnorth Lions charity group raised around £2,200 from their annual raffle, which hands out prizes to 10 lucky winners.

But it was the top prize winner – who is set for a plane trip above Bridgnorth – that caused the Lions to double check the winning ticket, as it was won by Michael Caine.

However, it is not the world-renowned former actor of Zulu and The Italian Job fame, but a Bridgnorth man of the same name.

The prize will see Mr Caine enjoy a bird's-eye view of Bridgnorth by taking a plane from Halfpenny Airport above the skies of the market town.
