Thirty-four-year-old Luke Clark, of Walsall, was first arrested in relation to an an incident at a property off Eastern Avenue in Lichfield on March 1 when two women, whom he knew, told police that he had attacked them.

One victim was left with bite marks and both suffered reddening round the throat after he grabbed them.

Prosecutor Mr David Iles told Wolverhampton Crown Court sitting at Telford: "Luke Clark asked for money to get drugs and when they declined he flipped and started hitting and slapping them. At some point both were being strangled by him at the same time.

"He smashed a photo frame and as he left the address took both their phones and some house keys.

"He was later arrested and told not to contact either victim."

Mr Iles said Clark, who has a previous conviction for wounding, was arrested on September 6 after a member of the public reported that he and one of the victims were arguing off Lichfield Road in Brownhills.
