The heroin was seized during the operation including a swoop on a property in the Birchills area of Walsall on Wednesday.

In addition West Midlands Police said four men and two women, aged between 22 and 39, were arrested  after electronic devices and around 500 wraps of what is believed to be heroin was discovered.

It follows an investigation by the force's County Lines Task Force into a drugs line believed to have been supplying Class A drugs into Birmingham and Solihull throughout this year.

Those in custody are being held on suspicion of conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin.

The force said addresses in the Birchills area of Walsall and in south Birmingham were visited by officers armed with warrants.

County Lines is the name given to drug dealing where organised criminal groups use phone lines to move and supply drugs, usually from cities into smaller towns and rural communities.
