Junior football team kicks of training session in Slade singer's new kit

A junior football team was rocking its new look as the team had their first training session sporting a new kit bought by rock legend Noddy Holder.

The Slade singer is a big football fan and Wolves supporter and it was revealed earlier this week that he had become the front-of-shirt sponsor for Bridgnorth Spartans Football Club’s under-7s Red team.

Noddy said he hoped the team could even end up providing some future Wolves stars.

“I have done lots of things in my life but being on the front of a football shirt is a first and I love it! I’m really happy to support the next generation of players back in the Midlands where I’m from, and hopefully we’ll have some future Wolves players amongst them!" the singer said.

On Tuesday night, the U7 team took to their training session at Oldbury Wells sports hall in the new kit with coaches Oliver Poole, Les North and Martin Waine.
