Hazardous area response team including specialist paramedics at scene of 'incident' in Walsall - buses diverted

Ambulance crews have been called to the scene of an "incident" in Walsall which has diverted three bus routes.

West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed it was called to Walsall Road, Darlaston, at 9.32am on Monday (December 16).

The hazardous area response team, which includes specialist paramedics, were among the ambulance staff who remained at the scene as of around 11am.

National Express West Midlands warned passengers of the disruption on the road just after 7.30am.

Writing to X, formerly Twitter, the regional bus company said services 34, 37 and 39 were affected by an "incident".

It added they had been diverted in both directions via Park Lane, Manor House Road and Darlaston Road.
