Man, 19, charged over fatal hit-and-run in Dudley

A 19-year-old man from Oldswinford has been charged following a fatal hit-and-run in Quarry Bank.

Tyron Moran has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following the death of a 27-year-old woman in Quarry Bank, Dudley, last year.

Pedestrian, Salma Rafique, was struck by a car on Thorns Road at around 8pm on September 29 last year.

The 27-year-old sustained serious injuries and was tragically confirmed dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "Following ongoing enquiries we’ve now charged Tyrone Moran with causing death by dangerous driving.

"The 19-year-old from Oldswinford is due to appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court tomorrow, December 12, for a plea hearing."
