Railway passengers across the region are being urged to check before they travel due to network communication issues.

Operator West Midlands Railway posted on social media networks: "There is a nationwide fault with the communication systems used between train drivers and signallers. This will may cause delays to services.
"We are sorry for any disruption this has caused to your journey today.. Check before you travel."
