Albrighton actor on trial takes the stand to deny sexually abusing child
Albrighton actor Alexander Westwood is giving evidence in his sexual abuse and rape trial.
The 24-year-old former actor, who starred in BBC drama Doctors, told jurors at Wolverhampton Crown Court he "never" did anything sexually inappropriate with two children.
Westwood, who also played an 'uncredited student' on Sex Education, is accused of 26 charges relating to sexual abuse of two children, a woman and pupils he gave acting lessons to.
Taking the stand for the first time in the four-week trial Westwood wore a blue suit. His first session of evidence related to the woman who accused him of abusing her for seven years.
When asked by his lawyer James Bloomer KC "did you ever ask her for oral sex?" Westwood said: "No."
