Aston Villa fan 'feared he would die' as car hit supporters
An Aston Villa fan feared he could have been killed after being hit by a car which ploughed into supporters leaving their game.
Sam Jervis was left shocked and bruised after being hit by a car which also careered into other supporters on the way home from his side's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace, on Saturday evening.
The 19-year-old, from Brereton, near Rugeley, was thrown on to the bonnet of a large black car near Witton Station, about half a mile from Villa Park at about 5.10pm.
Police are hunting the hit-and-run driver who also collided with one other woman and narrowly missed numerous other people at the junction on Manor Road and Witton Road.
Sam told how he was about to get the train home with friend Ethan Poole when he heard shouting before being 'cleaned up' by the vehicle, which he was later told had four people inside.
"We were about to get the train and I heard something, then I hear my mate Ethan shouting 'Sam, look out!'," recalled the teenager.
"I half turned around and saw the car coming straight at me, I didn't have time to do anything before it wiped me out and I was on the bonnet.
