Maya Bellingham was in the car with Inderjit Singh Dulay in Darlaston on November 21 when three men in balaclavas launched a vicious attack.

She told Wolverhampton Crown Court during the trial of three men accused of the vicious attack: "A car crashed into us and then I saw three men in balaclavas all with machetes running towards the car. Indy was shouting 'I am with my girlfriend'.

"One was smashing the window with his machete. He then stabbed Indy. He was stabbed in the chest, and leg."

Terrifyingly another one of the knifemen then scaled the car's roof and began to attack from above.

Maya added: "Then one climbed onto the car and began stabbing down through the sunroof. I was focussed on trying to avoid the machete being stabbed down from the sunroof.

"I said 'we have to get out of the car'. I got out of the passenger side and Indy crawled across and got out."
