A rescue centre near Wolverhampton is under investigation following allegations that it is knowingly selling stolen cats.

Police and RSPCA responders were spotted at C.A.A.R.S rescue centre in Essington on Tuesday afternoon following concerns that the owners are knowingly selling lost and stolen pets.
More than fifty dogs, cats and tortoises were seized from the centre in an operation carried out by South Staffordshire Council, the RSPCA, and Staffordshire Police before it was closed down on Tuesday.
Michael Goodwin from Wednesfield raised the alarm when he took his cat Tallulah to the vet after she gave birth, and learnt that she had been stolen from a home in Yorkshire.
The 53-year-old bought Tallulah from C.A.A.R.S in October last year for £50, and donated an extra £25 to the centre.
