Teenager rushed to hospital after being stabbed on a bus in Birmingham

A teenager was taken to hospital after he was stabbed on a bus in Birmingham.

The bus was travelling along Golden Hillock Road in Birmingham at around 4.45pm.

Officers attended the scene and found the 18-year-old man being treated by paramedics.

A police spokesman said: "He was taken for further treatment at hospital and remains in a stable condition today with injuries which are not believed to be life-changing.

"We understand two offenders stole a mobile phone from the victim before leaving along Golden Hillock Road approaching the junction of Coventry Road at about 4.45pm.

"CCTV is being reviewed and door to door enquiries being carried out as investigators work to trace those responsible.
