West Midlands Roads issued an alert for ‘Major disruption’ on the M6 northbound this morning.

The organisation, which is part of Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) said that live lanes are blocked and that congestion is quickly building due to a collision.

The area affected was between J6 at Spaghetti Junction and J17 at Great Barr, while Live Traffic -M6 also warned of traffic disruption for the same area

The motorway was eventually fully reopened after two hours of work to clear the scene and treat a driver for non-serious injuries.
