Rail disruption in Wolverhampton and Walsall due to signalling fault - latest advice from National Rail

Signalling problem caused problems for commuters on the West Midlands rail network on Wednesday morning.

A signalling fault causing major disruption between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street this morning has been fixed

There were cancellations and delays  in the early morning but West Midlands Railway have now tweeted that all lines are getting back to normal.

The tweet added: "Lines are open, ticket acceptance and rail replacement is still in place until further notice as we get back to speed,

"Residual delays and some cancellations still may occur.

Meanwhile a problem between Bescot Stadium, Walsall and Rugeley Town has now been cleared and trains are getting back to normal, though there may still be delays and cancellations in the next few hours
