Accident causes M6 delays near Stafford

There are delays on the M6 northbound near Stafford for motorists this morning after a  collision involving a van with trailer which has overturned.

National Highways has reported delays on the M6 northbound near Stafford for motorists this morning after a collision involving a van with trailer which has overturned.

It has closed lanes one, two and three on the northbound carriageway between junctions 13 for the Dunston Interchange and 14 for Stafford causing delays of 60 minutes and around four miles of congestion.

Temporary traffic lights on Stone Road near Tesco Express were also causing traffic delays in the town. 

National Highways West Midlands tweeted about the accident saying: " Traffic Officers are on scene. Recovery has been arranged. Delays of 45 mins and approx. 3 miles of congestion. "
