The 24-year-old, who has appeared in a string of stage and television productions, appeared in the dock yesterday (Monday) at Wolverhampton Crown Court dressed in a smart suit.

Due to the number of charges levelled at the actor the trial is expected to last more than a month.

Westwood's alleged criminality stretches back to before he was ten-years-old and includes ten charges of sexual abuse of a girl over seven years.
