Fans of the Wolverhampton-born singer have been leaving flowers, photos, balloons and candles around the statue of Lady Wulfruna, in front of St Peter's Collegiate Church since his shock death last month.
But the memorial was moved early on Friday (November 8) morning to make way for the Festival of Remembrance around Cheapside and Lich Gates on Sunday.
Wolverhampton Council said earlier in the week the tributes would be "respectfully" relocated to West Park.
The former One Direction singer, who was from Bushbury, died after falling from a third-floor balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 16 at aged 31.
People from across the globe were left devastated at the news, including in Wolverhampton and in Birmingham where vigils were held.
